Tefron appoints turnaround CEO

Misgav, Israel – Leading producer of seamless intimate apparel and active wear Tefron, has announced the appointment of industry veteran Amit Meridor to the position of CEO, effective 21 January 2010.

Manish Kiri appointed President and CEO of DyStar

Singapore - DyStar’s owner, Kiri Holding Singapore Private Limited, has appointed Manish Kiri as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Effective February 4, 2010 Manish Kiri will replace J Mark Allan J. Mark Allan, will remain with the company as a Strategic Advisor for a period of 6 months to assist in the transition of duties and responsibilities, the company said in a statement issued this afternoon.

Karl Mayer takes composites know-how to JEC

Obertshausen - German manufacturer of multi-axial warp knitting machines Karl Mayer will taking part in this year’s JEC Composite Show which is being held in Paris from 13 to 15 April. The company which will be exhibiting at the shared Saxon stand will be offering what it calls a “considerably extended performance range.”

DyStar operations set to restart as Kiri Dyes secures financing

Frankfurt – Administrators have announced that operations at DyStar Textilfarben GmbH and DyStar Textilfarben GmbH & Co. KG at the four German DyStar sites in Brunsbüttel, Leverkusen, Frankfurt am Main and Ludwigshafen are now set to restart under the new management of Kiri Dyes & Chemicals Ltd. (KDCL).

Porsche Design uses coldblack in latest collection

Sevelen – Switzerland’s Schoeller Technologies AG reports that its coldblack technology is now being used in the latest Porsche Design Sport Collection for men. Coldblack is a finish which can be applied to fabrics to actively reduce the absorption of the sun’s rays and offers reliable protection from damaging UV rays.

Green cycling jerseys are cool

Hamn - Leading Spanish cycling brand Spiuk, is using Advansa’s Biophyl and Thermo°Cool technical yarns in its latest Elite Men 2010 summer collection to keep riders cool while they look after the environment. The company’s Elite Men cycling jerseys which are made from circular knitted fabrics incorporating eco friendly Biophyl also use ThermoCool fabric inserts in strategic areas to control body temperature.
